However, the urge to paint again overcame his love of travel.
After a brief return to Africa to see his family again and revisit his childhood haunts, he studied Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland.

Subsequently, he has lived and worked as a portrait painter - also exploring landscape, wildlife and other subjects - in Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Malawi, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
He is now settled in Bath, England.

Peter's fascination with the human physiognomy and psyche, and his love of, and empathy with, animals has led him to continue to develop his technique and approach to portraiture, looking always to capture the individual "essence" of the sitter, in a fresh and artistic manner.
