A preliminary colour sketch or sketches will be submitted to the client for discussion and approval in the case of complex or multiple portraits. The artist will have explored a variety of compositional approaches. The client may ask for any changes to be made (subject to the artist's agreement).
Only once the compositional sketch is approved by the client and the part payment received (see below), will work on the actual painting start.

Pricing
Cost is determined by the size, complexity of background, and whether the portrait is to be head & shoulders, half-, three quarter-, or full-length.
A simple head & shoulders can start from £500 (US$800) (unframed).

A deposit of 40% is required upon agreement of the proposed composition.
with the balance to be paid upon receipt of the finished painting.
